Tundra or Arctic Tundra occurs in the far northern hemisphere

Paramo, or Alpine Paramo shares the appearance of Arctic Tundra, but Paramo habitat can be found in equatorial regions as well. Tundra and Paramo share an absence of trees, and a predominance of low growing heath-like plants. Often stunted by wind and cold climates.
